ToyPedia – India
“My name is Noshita Sahu, and I am the creator of ToyPedia. Following years of experience in the toy industry, I saw a huge vacuum in India regarding toy consumption and parent awareness. I realized a desperate need for toy education, for both consumers and creators, that nobody was addressing. Our target audience is parents, childcare takers, child specialists. Also those who handle childcare and development such as pediatric psychologists, toy manufacturers and toy & play stakeholders. We cover topics such as how to buy a toy, what is age appropriateness. We cover toy safety standards, consumer rights, things to look out for when buying toys etc. We were featured on India’s 1st Digital Content Development on Toy & Play awareness. My goal is to bring more user-oriented insights into our work. It can help our target audience really apply their knowledge related to toys & play in their life, in order to have a playful & thoughtful experience in life.
COTAcam – Utah, USA
“My name is Cambri, I am a pediatric occupational therapy assistant. I previously worked with children in home health, outpatient, and school-based settings. Leaving outpatient and switching to school-based settings, I noticed many significant differences. Essentially, there is a lack of collaboration between therapists and parents. Overall, inadequate education is being delivered to parents. In an outpatient setting, I had the opportunity to talk to parents and explain what they should do at home. How to help make further progress towards their child’s goals and independence. Unfortunately, this is not the case in a school setting. The only information parents receive is through the IEP or progress reports, where there is information coming in covering all aspects of special education and related services.
Consequently, I created and implement a monthly newsletter program for parents of children currently receiving OT services – or those who were screened/evaluated for services. It provides information on various deficits. We talk about how deficits impact the child in the school environment, and activities they can do at home to improve their skills in that area. Each student also received an individualized home program to target their fine motor skills and to improve carryover at home.
My overall goal is to help children who receive school-based OT services make better and faster progress. Research shows that carryover is crucial in making progress, yet so many schools fail to provide parents with the tools they need to help their children succeed. My goal is to improve collaboration between school based OT’s and parents across the nation! I want to empower parents to help their children succeed.”

“My name is Bailey Bond, and I am a speech-language pathologist. My colleague, Chelsea Derry, and I have developed a family-school learning series called The Preschool Connection Series. The aim is to enhance the connection between families, students and educators. We do this through play-based learning and supporting strategies to foster connection, communication and language development.
We are emphatically focused on bringing the community together with their children. Together we learn about what play-based learning is and why it is important. Through dedicated programs, we teach strategies that help to facilitate language. Families and educators can come together to learn how to model language through play, no matter what their student’s preferred mode(s) of communication may be.”
